“ Very fun sushi bar to go for dinner. You can asks them to flambee your rolls. Tuna and salmon taste very well this war. The rolls have a considerable size so 4 was pretty filling. We had a great time! ”
“ My fav spot for sushi / hand rolls in Paris. It gets so crowded during weekdays at lunch time but you can always sneak a place for 2 while walking in. They have a lunch pre-fixed which is great, offering an appetizer, 3 hand rolls and a dessert. Check it out! ”
“ I’ve visited many Asian restaurants and tried countless sushi rolls..but honestly Doki Doki has completely won me over and become my fav! The food was exceptional, I've never tasted such delicious dishes before. The sushi rolls were perfectly crafted with fresh ingredients, and the soups were rich and flavorful. But my all-time fav dish was the Dorade Tartare. It was tooo yummy !! Beyond the amazing food, the service is outstanding. The staff is incredibly friendly, kind, and always smiling, making u want to try everything on the menu I’m happy to have discovered this spot every time I visit Paris, I will definitely return .. ”
“ Doki Doki has quickly become one of my favorite handroll bars in Paris. As a handroll enthusiast, I appreciate the simplicity and freshness that define this spot. The minimalist yet inviting ambiance sets the perfect stage for a delightful meal. We opted for the three-roll set menu, which was ideal for our light appetite. Each handroll was crafted with care, featuring crisp nori, warm, vinegared rice, and exceptionally fresh fish. The flavors were clean and satisfying, making each bite a pleasure. This place really offers a straightforward yet fulfilling dining experience that keeps me coming back for more. Also, I recommend going with a reservation, as the place is not so big and it might become packed in no time. ”
“ I’ve visited Dokidoki several times, and while I usually enjoy it, my last experience felt a bit different. There can be some inconsistency in the flavors sometimes the rice is too warm or overcooked but the fish is always fresh, which keeps me coming back. It might have also felt off because the AC wasn’t strong that day, and the room was a bit warm. I usually go for the 5 handroll menu, which I like to tweak. The salmon and toro rolls are my absolute favorites (10/10). The shrimp roll is also a must-try for shrimp lovers. I personally didn’t enjoy the crispy salmon roll it had a burnt taste. As for starters, I like the cucumber salad even though it’s a bit bland (7/10). I recently tried the spinach salad, but it wasn’t for me (6/10). You can always go with sashimis :-) Overall, I still highly recommend Dokidoki for the handroll experience: the quality and freshness of the ingredients are always there. ”
“ Had a delicious meal here - everything was extremely fresh and the restaurant interior is beautiful. I was a slow eater that day and the chef took that into account and patiently waited until I was done before making the next handroll. The mochi dessert was just the right amount of sweetness and I was surprised at the generous portion of cucumbers. Only thing is I was caught off guard when I was asked about a tip when checking out. ”
“ Who would have thought that in the heart of Paris, you'd find delicious and accessible hand roll-style Japanese food? This counter-bar style restaurant opens at noon, with a main menu featuring hand rolls, sashimi, soup, and daily specials. It's not a tourist trap; during lunchtime, you'll see many French locals dining here. I recommend the salmon roll, crab meat roll, crispy salmon roll, tuna roll, and all the sashimi – they're all delicious. Eating here might even make you forget your cravings for Asian food! ”
“ Had a lovely dinner, sat inside at the bar , hostess was wonderful. Service was wonderful. We ordered the four sushi roll dinner and miso soup. Dinner was all very good. They don’t cut the rolls normally but they did cut them for us so we could share them. I do recommend this restaurant. They do put some scallions on some of the roll so if you don’t want any, you might want to mention that. We got a carafe of cucumber water, which I just love too. I would eat here again. ”
